Oops...

I have totally neglected my blog recently so I thought it was time for an update!

If you follow me on Twitter you will know I have given up smoking. I have smoked for 10 years and always defended it... pathetic I know, makes me no better than a dirty junkie lol!

Anyway, I didn't suddenly go all anti smoking, I haven't been talking about how I want to give up I just kinda did it which in itself was very odd for me. My dad had a heart attack last year and you would have thought that would have made me quit... it didn't and i'm pretty shamed of it. As my friend Sean pointed out... Marlboro owns me.

Anyway... today is day 4 and I have to say, its the worst day so far. I started out with a Nicorette patch on but had an allergic reaction to it which was a lot of f'in good! So I've gone cold turkey after reading a load of stuff from my new idol Allen Carr. Basically he sort of brainwashes you into knowing craving and stuff is all in your head and therefore, you don't need any nicotine replacement thingy me bobs. I do agree and if I am totally honest.... this isn't as hard as I thought....

HOWEVER..... Today I am an emotional wreck. I have just been on skype balling my eyes out to Sean because I don't want to put weight on now i've given up (Reason being, if I put on 4lb say, it will stay there cos I am a lazy bitch lol) To make myself feel better I went on the MAC website and bought some treats, and I then felt guilty about it... I'm replacing one addiction with another! At least shopping won't kill me, it can just make me bankrupt! :-s

So I want to cry at the drop of a hat.... I shouted at the cat, I shouted at my dad, I cried to Sean.... I am a mess today and even though I know I am being a complete penis, I am still doing it! I haven't smoked though.... I am waiting for a smug feeling to kick in but so far, nothing!!!!

My recent shopping has got me some nice new shiny things though!!! wooo!!! So far I have bought:

MAC Lipsticks in High Tea & Patisserie
MAC Blush in Peachtwist
MAC Brush cleaner
MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation NW15
Lola eyebrow pencil
Urban Decay Primer Potion

Now I had already decided I didn't like the studio sculpt foundation but I have bought it in the palest colour they do because the usual foundation I buy isn't available online and I am in addict mode so I wanted to buy and I wanted to buy now.... idiot!

I am sporting WHITE skin at the moment.... I can't really get used to it although I feel very liberated not having to put fake tan on! I'm currently getting laser treatment and you can't have any fake tan on while you get it done so much to my horror I had to go back to my normal skin lol!

Umm.... so yeah! I can't think of much else at the moment because I am consumed with trying not to smoke but I will update this more often! I've been slacking off!

HEATHERETTE MAC DOCK ICONS

I'm still being a photoshop whore! I am making icons for my dock left right and center at the moment so I thought I would share my latest creation for those of you who also have a Mac!

Cos the Heatherette is just too cute, I have made a trash can icon set and then a random lipstick icon.



I'm currently using the eyeshadow pallets for my trash and it works perfectly! Closed for empty and open for full!.

COS I LOVE CUSTOMIZATION!

I've been banging my head against a brick wall for the past few months over the mess of my laptop. I keep saying I will buy an external hard drive but never seem to get round to it. I have SO much music stored on my MacBook Pro (along with a zillion photo's and general other crap) so today I finally got round to cleaning it all off.

It meant temporarily giving up being a music magpie and really keeping only stuff I listen to... that meant Betty Boo's album went in the trash can, along with the 6... YES 6! Duplicate copies that some how ended up on here! I mean... why would I even have that album?! lol

So I have now cleaned about 40GB off my laptop WOOO!!! Only one thing to do then...... spend the rest of the day customizing and filling it back up with pretty crap!!!

I have a serious problem when it comes to stuff like this.... I just love to collect backgrounds and icons! Having a mac also means you can take it to the extreme and download pretty much anything and everything!!!

ME SINGING VIDEO....

A couple of people have asked me if I will upload a "Me Singing" video.... Oh lord! lol 

I'm not one to shy away from a video or two as you well know but seriously, that would be a disaster waiting to happen! 

Firstly, I write songs for people with beautiful voices to sing :) I have no desire to be an artist myself although a long time ago, I was in an awful girl band! haha! I like being in the studio with my unbrushed hair under a hat, chewing on a biro and skribbling on any bit of paper I can find, working out a melody or two and then letting someone who is blessed with the vocal chords of an angel (Sean for instance! haha little plug AGAIN!) sing it perfectly. 

I sing demo vocals on some of the songs I write purely because I'm in the studio at the time and also because it saves paying for a session singer to record it. Credit crunch people haha! 

For those who want to hear me sing, you can hear 2 songs on my myspace "Alone" & "Old Skool Luvin" with my vocals on. There will not be any videos of "me singing" though!!! The world can survive without them! ;) 

I'M BACK!!!

I'm back home again!! Had a great time in Amsterdam with Sean and his family. We drove back to the UK and it was actually pretty quick considering we had to go through 3 countries! We went on the Euro Tunnel thing in the car.... it freaked me out! I wasn't that keen on being locked into a little chamber thing but it took only 30 mins to get from Calais to Dover! That is stupidly quick!!!

I was also in the car playing with the GPS thing on my blackberry... its so much fun! (Yes, I am sad!) I was pressing everything and sending "my current location" messages to Sean via BB messenger! haha! It doesn't take much to keep me amused really....

Also after reading Twilight I just had to buy the rest of the series.... All hail WHSMITH @ Stansted airport who happened to be doing a 4 books for the price of 3 offer so I could buy them all in one go! (I got an extra Twilight to make Sean read it!)

I finished the other 3 in a couple of days... they are SO good!!! Seriously, I haven't enjoyed a book that much in yonks!! I am resisting temptation to go into full discussion and details on what happens but I don't want to spoil it for anyone else! (Although I think EVERYONE has already read them!) If you haven't READ THEM!!!!!! 

If anyone has some suggestions for what I should read next please leave me a comment! I am a total book geek....  

Just booked my flight to Norway on the 12th... really looking forward to it so expect more video action from there! Time for some suitcase unpacking....
